LEMONDROP TREATMENT

Story by Taylor Kirby
10/17/2013

CONCEPT
A young woman gets too drunk at a bar and ends up “accidentally” having a one-night stand with another female. She wakes up the next day to find herself in a hotel room lying next to the female’s dead body.
THEME
It’s about coming to terms with one’s sexuality while also showcasing that there are other things in life to care/worry about.
CHARACTERS
SIERRA: A young, 23 year old with a sharp mind and clever wit. She is a Scorpio to a T; mysterious, manipulative, dark, with alluring sex appeal and a knowledge of how to use it. An adorably trashy girl with pixyish features, she can be insensitive and thoughtless.
KRISTEN: A 32 year old lesbian who is often seen outside of work scouting local bars for young girls to prey on. Her favorite thing to do is confuse straight girls and sleep with them. She doesn’t consider it a successful night if she hasn’t made more than three girls question their sexuality.
SIERRA’S MOM: 48 years old and quite open-minded considering her generation and very caring. She’s always there for Sierra whenever she needs her. She’s aware her daughter can be callous and knows how combat it.
RECEPTIONIST: A homely 40 year old woman just trying to keep herself busy while her husband works and her kids are at school.
GAY COUPLE: Two male partners that are off on a little weekend getaway.
SYNOPSIS:

Sierra is out having fun at a local bar when she is approached by Kristen who offers her one too many drinks which ultimately leads to Sierra waking up in a hotel room the next day lying next to Kristen’s dead body. Overwhelmed and disturbed by the possibility that she slept with a girl, Sierra gives herself quite the rough morning. She endures a series of paranoia-filled situations that seem to add to the mountain she’s made out of a molehill. Completely ignoring the fact that Kristen is dead, Sierra becomes selfishly wrapped up in her dilemma inevitably calling her “mommy” for some guidance.
